European Sovereign Cloud Engineer

The Role

• Oversee the launch of a new European Sovereign Cloud initiative.

• Collaborate with global teams to influence the evolution of cloud services and technology.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside of standard working hours.

• Contribute to the development and testing of scripts to improve workflows.

• Act as an educator, sharing knowledge about the European Sovereign Cloud with service teams.

What You'll Need

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• National of an EU member state and residing within the EU.

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

• Experience scripting processes in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot performance, reliability, and availability issues.

• Experience leading the creation and improvement of standard operational procedures and driving operational best practices.
