People Systems Analyst (SAP SuccessFactors)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Employment Type: Contract (with potential for conversion)

Compensation: Hourly rate: $50–$55/hour

Overview

We are seeking a highly technical People Systems Analyst to support and optimize our SAP SuccessFactors environment. This role will serve as a key contributor to the HR technology function, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and continuous improvement across core HR modules.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in system configuration, enjoys solving complex problems, and can operate independently in a fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain SAP SuccessFactors across core modules, including:
  • Employee Central
  • Onboarding
  • Time
  • Performance
  • Compensation
  • Manage day-to-day system administration, including:
  • System configurations and updates
  • User access and role-based permissions
  • Workflow troubleshooting and resolution
  • Routine system health checks and monitoring
  • Support system enhancements and projects by:
  • Translating business requirements into system solutions
  • Building and testing configurations (e.g., workflows, document portlets)
  • Implementing and validating system changes
  • Develop and maintain reporting using SAP Story Reporting and other tools
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including:
  • SOPs
  • Configuration documentation
  • Knowledge articles
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to support system needs, including:
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Improving workflows and user experience
  • Supporting HR programs and cycles (performance, compensation, etc.)
  • Assist with system releases (biannual updates), including testing and impact analysis

Key Priorities (First 90 Days)

  • Stabilize and enhance user and role-based permissions
  • Improve and expand reporting capabilities
  • Establish clear documentation and system governance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (required)
  • Experience administering and configuring HRIS systems (not just end-user experience)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Employee Central and platform functionality
  • System configuration and workflows
  • Role-based permissions and security
  • Experience with reporting tools (SAP Story Reporting preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and system stability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting HR systems in a fast-paced or evolving environment
  • Experience working with integrations or LMS systems
  • Ability to document processes and establish best practices
  • Prior experience partnering with HR stakeholders to translate requirements into system solutions

Work Environment

  • Fully remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
  • Preference for candidates aligned to East Coast or Central time zones
  • Collaborative team environment with strong cross-functional interaction
