About the role

We're placing a Senior Test Automation Engineer with one of our strategic US clients — a tech company building cloud-connected consumer devices, mobile applications, and subscription-based security services. Their platform handles live video and audio from home devices through low-latency, highly secure cloud infrastructure, so quality isn't optional: it's core to the product.You'll own automated testing across mobile, web, and API layers. That means building and maintaining frameworks, integrating testing into CI/CD, and bringing strong AI awareness to how your team approaches quality. This isn't a role where you wait for tickets — you drive initiatives, unblock yourself, and learn fast.

What you'll work on

• Design and build scalable test automation frameworks using Python, Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Robot Framework, and XCUI
• Lead automation coverage across mobile apps (highest priority), frontend applications, and APIs
• Apply AI-assisted QA practices to improve test design, defect analysis, and automation productivity
• Implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM) patterns across frameworks
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams
• Design test strategies for software interacting with hardware devices
• Drive quality initiatives end-to-end — from scoping to delivery — without needing constant direction
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of professional test automation experience
• Strong hands-on mobile automation background — Appium, XCUI, or equivalent. This is the highest-priority skill for this role
• Practical AI knowledge: you should be able to talk concretely about how AI improves QA, automation productivity, or defect analysis — not just that it does
• Solid understanding of Page Object Model and why it matters for maintainability at scale
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and/or JavaScript
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, and Appium
• Strong CI/CD integration experience (testing pipelines, post-deployment validation, DevOps collaboration)
• Advanced English — you'll be working daily with a distributed US-based team

Nice to have:

• Experience with Robot Framework
• Background in IoT, connected devices, or hardware-adjacent testing
• Knowledge of SwiftUI or Kotlin (the client is moving toward these for mobile automation)
• Experience with AI-powered testing tools, test generation, or predictive defect detection
