ABOUT THE ROLE
Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level SEO Specialist. This role will focus on improving website visibility, increasing organic traffic, and supporting search engine optimization strategies for a growing U.S.-based organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is interested in digital marketing, search engine optimization, and content performance.
The SEO Specialist will work closely with marketing, content, and web teams to optimize websites, analyze data, and implement strategies that improve search rankings and user engagement.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 per year, based on skills, performance, and client hiring needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Conduct keyword research and identify SEO opportunities
- Optimize website content, pages, and metadata for search engines
- Monitor website performance and organic traffic trends
- Support on-page and technical SEO improvements
- Assist with content optimization and SEO-driven content strategies
- Track rankings, traffic, and SEO performance metrics
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms
- Conduct competitor and market research
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and web development teams

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or related roles (internships/projects count)
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and search engine ranking factors
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Curiosity and willingness to learn SEO tools and strategies
NICE TO HAVE
- Internship or project experience in SEO or digital marketing
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, etc.)
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or website structure
- Experience with content management systems (WordPress, etc.)
- Knowledge of keyword strategy and content optimization
- Exposure to link building or technical SEO
