## About the Job

Deepshard Inc is building a new kind of software platform for people working with intelligent systems. Our product brings together a thoughtful user interface, connected workflows, and adaptive automation to help users stay focused, make decisions, and get more done.

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to help shape the core product experience. You'll work on interfaces that make complex systems feel simple, responsive, and trustworthy. This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about product quality, frontend craft, performance, and building software that people genuinely enjoy using.

This role is based in the United States. We default to on-site collaboration, but remote work is possible for strong candidates.

## The Role

You will help design and build the frontend for an early product in a new and quickly evolving category. The work spans core product surfaces, reusable UI components, real-time data flows, app integration experiences, and the frontend architecture needed to keep the product fast, reliable, and easy to evolve.

You'll work closely with engineering and product leadership, move quickly, and own meaningful parts of the user experience end to end.

## What You'll Do

• Build production frontend features in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
• Develop desktop application experiences using Electron and web technologies.
• Create intuitive interfaces for core product workflows, app integrations, notifications, settings, and real-time activity.
• Work with APIs, async data flows, streamed updates, and client-side state management.
• Improve frontend architecture, component quality, accessibility, performance, and test coverage.
• Partner directly with backend/product engineers to shape APIs and user experiences.
• Debug complex UI and state issues across desktop, renderer, and service boundaries.
• Help raise the quality bar for a fast-moving product and engineering team.

## What We're Looking For

• Strong experience building production web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with React and modern frontend patterns.
• Good judgment around component design, state management, performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Comfort working in a large or evolving codebase and making pragmatic technical tradeoffs.
• Ability to translate ambiguous product ideas into clean, shippable interfaces.
• Experience consuming APIs and working with asynchronous or real-time data.
• Strong ownership, communication, and bias toward action.
• Interest in AI-native products, developer tools, operating systems, productivity software, or complex desktop applications.

## What Will Set You Apart

• Experience with Electron or desktop applications built with web technologies.
• Experience with gRPC, protobuf, streaming APIs, or event-driven UIs.
• Experience with TanStack Query, virtualized lists, Storybook, Vitest, Playwright, or design systems.

## Compensation

The expected base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, level, location, and demonstrated ability.

We are open to mid-level through senior candidates, and compensation may vary for exceptional experience.
