Business Intelligence Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Business Intelligence Analyst. This role will focus on analyzing business data, building reports, and generating insights to support decision-making for a growing U.S.-based organization.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with operations, marketing, finance, and leadership teams to transform data into actionable insights.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $105,000 per year, based on experience, technical skills, and client hiring needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights

- Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations

- Support decision-making with data-driven recommendations

- Work with large datasets from multiple sources

- Clean, organize, and validate data for accuracy

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics

- Assist with forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking

- Use tools like Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI)

- Document data processes and reporting structures

- Identify opportunities to improve data systems and workflows

- Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business, finance, statistics, or related field preferred

- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or analytics roles

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

- Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying tools

- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar

- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

- Curiosity and interest in working with data

NICE TO HAVE

- Internship or project experience in data analysis or BI

- Experience with Python or R for data analysis

- Familiarity with databases and data warehousing concepts

- Experience with dashboards and data visualization

- Understanding of business metrics and KPIs

- Exposure to SaaS, finance, marketing, or operations data
