We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Engineer with an active Security Clearance to support the operations, management, and network operations within an Intelligence Community Agency. This is a full-time, on-site position in Madison County, Alabama, requiring presence 5 days a week.
The ideal candidate will serve under the leadership of the RF Subject Matter Expert (SME) and act as a technical advisor.
Responsibilities:
- Enterprise wireless networks architecture, design, and implementation project management: This includes designing and implementing secure wireless network solutions, determining optimal placement of network equipment, ensuring network reliability and scalability, and managing the implementation of such systems. Wireless systems include cellular (4G/5G), public safety (LMR, FirstNet), enterprise secure Wi-Fi, RFID, tactical radio systems (HF, VHF, UHF, TETRA, etc.), and RF and optical links, among others.
- Wireless Networks Design and optimization: Responsibilities include designing wireless network architecture, conducting performance optimization, generating prediction plots, and providing technical support.
- Network Security: Designing and implementing wireless network security protocols, ensuring comprehensive protection of wireless infrastructure, and staying current with industry best practices are key responsibilities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining network documentation, as well as producing reports and predicted performance plots, are required aspects of the role.

- Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, is preferred.
- Experience: Experience as a Wireless Network Engineer, ideally in a government or law enforcement setting, is preferred. Enterprise-level hands-on design experience in the iBwave Design platform is required. (iBwave Level II certification is preferred; Level I is required or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. In cases where the customer approves a candidate without the necessary certifications, tuition reimbursement is available upon successful completion of the required exams. Reimbursement is contingent upon an agreed employment commitment.)
- Skills: A strong understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) theory, wireless networking technologies, network management tools, and security practices is essential. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are also important.
- Clearance: Top-Secret security clearance is a must.

- Candidates must be local to the Madison County, AL area or willing to relocate to the vicinity. Relocation assistance may be offered and is subject to negotiation.

- Continuous learning and professional development are necessary. The ability to work effectively within a team is crucial.
- Nextivity Cel-Fi experience and HP Aruba Enterprise Wi-Fi experience are a plus.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness when interfacing with customers, ensuring timely and effective communication that inspires confidence.
