Job Description

Are you an Azure Cloud Engineer who wants to work on large-scale cloud platforms, modern Kubernetes environments, and infrastructure that supports critical global operations?

This is an opportunity to join a major international technology and engineering environment delivering enterprise-wide cloud transformation across modern digital platforms, applications, and infrastructure.

You’ll be part of a highly skilled cloud engineering ecosystem working with Azure, AKS, Terraform, container platforms, automation, and cloud security - helping build resilient, scalable infrastructure powering complex global systems.

Your Role as an Azure Cloud Engineer:

You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and evolving secure cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms within large-scale Azure environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on modern cloud operations, platform scalability, infrastructure automation, and container orchestration.

  • You’ll work across cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, security, and DevOps integration - helping drive the next generation of enterprise cloud platforms, and collaborate closely with Cloud, Platform, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver infrastructure that is secure, highly available, automated, and built for scale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, deploy, and optimise scalable infrastructure within Microsoft Azure
  • Build and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments supporting containerised enterprise applications
  • Work across Azure networking, virtual machines, storage solutions, databases, and cloud services
  • Support modern container platforms using Docker and Azure Container Registry (ACR)
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure delivery and lifecycle management
  • Drive infrastructure automation and improve consistency, scalability, and reliability across cloud environments
  • Implement cloud security best practices including Microsoft Defender policies, image hardening, and infrastructure compliance controls
  • Support secure container deployment standards and platform security initiatives
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to integrate infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve cloud platform performance, resilience, and cost optimisation
  • Contribute to the design of secure, enterprise-grade cloud-native architectures across complex environments

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with:
  • Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, and Private Endpoints
  • Virtual Machines and Virtual Machine Scale Sets
  • Azure Databases and Storage Accounts
  • Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes platforms
  • Solid understanding of Docker and containerisation principles
  • Hands-on Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation
  • Good understanding of cloud security principles and secure infrastructure design
  • Experience working with Microsoft Defender, image hardening, and infrastructure compliance controls
  • Experience designing scalable and secure cloud-native infrastructure within enterprise environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud and container platforms
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across DevOps, Security, and Platform Engineering teams

Why Join the Remobi community:

  • Fully remote, b2b/freelance contracts
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale, enterprise programmes.
  • Access to a network of experienced data, AI, and technology professionals across Europe.
