Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)


Fully Remote (with 10% travel) or Hybrid in Newburyport, MA 01950

Direct Hire with Full Benefits Package

Starting Salary - Between $140,000 to $185,000/year


Summary

The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) oversees and manages the information security program within an organization. They provide guidance for security teams, evaluate networks for security vulnerabilities, manage anti-virus and firewall systems, conduct computer patch management, intrusion detection, and data encryption. Their primary role is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization's information assets, including digital data, systems, networks, and other sensitive information. The ISSM is also the primary infrastructure and technical systems architect for all information technology systems ensuring business objectives are met while incorporating robust integrated security and security practices.


Location / Travel: Must reside in the continental US and be willing to travel up to 10%.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High level of knowledge regarding industry best practices for robust infrastructure and related security tools and practices
  • Maintain a current CISSP certification and consider related certifications as the threat and security landscape change over time
  • 5 years as a System Administrator and information security practitioner
  • Experience with incident response, risk assessment, and related security programs
  • Strong understanding of security trends and technologies


OTHER JOB-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability to clearly identify business issues related to the implementation, facilitate agreement on solutions at all levels of the organization and bring these solutions to closure in the context of the implementation.
  • Must be comfortable and capable of leading group discussion and facilitating business process decisions in cross functional groups.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
