Product Owner - Databricks Data Platform

Product Owner (Databricks / Data Platform) — 100% Remote

Our Client is hiring a Product Owner to support a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative focused on insurance products and benefits platforms. This team is building out a modern Databricks-based data lake environment that will directly impact how business and operational teams access, manage, and use critical healthcare data across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own and manage the product backlog for a Databricks-focused Agile team

• Partner closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions

• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable sprint priorities

• Help shape data lake ingestion, transformation, and consumption capabilities

• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives

• Drive stakeholder engagement and gather end-user feedback to improve platform usability

• Collaborate across cross-functional teams within a SAFe Agile environment

• Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, quality, and overall product value

What They're Looking For

• Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within Agile environments

• Strong understanding of data platforms, data lakes, and enterprise data architecture

• Hands-on exposure to Databricks or similar modern data technologies

• Experience working with technical teams on data engineering or analytics initiatives

• Strong backlog management and user story writing skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience working in enterprise Agile/SAFe environments

Nice to Have

• Healthcare or insurance industry experience

• Azure cloud platform exposure

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, or data modeling

• Experience with Jira Align or Azure DevOps

• SAFe PO/PM or CSPO certification
