Key Responsibilities
Manage the full ScriptSure release pipeline across environments
Manage database environments; Review, test, and oversee updates across all environments
Monitor infrastructure for performance, security/compliance requirements and optimize for scale
Monitor production systems (DataDog, logs, metrics) to ensure uptime, performance, and system health
Work with QA on deployment readiness and ensure release quality
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term fixes
Oversee bi-weekly production pushes and scheduled outages
Own and maintain outage response playbooks and incident processes
Publish and manage software release notes

Base salary range: $110,000 - $135,000
Remote Work position

We are seeking a motivated Production Systems Engineer to grow into ownership of the reliability, performance, and release execution of ScriptSure. This role is central to maintaining production stability, managing infrastructure, and ensuring consistent, high-quality deployments. Join our small, high-impact team where you will directly influence a nationally used healthcare platform.


What You’ll Do:

• Manage the full ScriptSure release pipeline across environments

• Manage database environments; Review, test, and oversee updates across all environments

• Monitor infrastructure for performance, security/compliance requirements and optimize for scale

• Monitor production systems (DataDog, logs, metrics) to ensure uptime, performance, and system health

• Work with QA on deployment readiness and ensure release quality

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate is an emerging operational leader who:

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• 4 - 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles

• Experience operating AWS-based infrastructure (Aurora/RDS, ElastiCache (Redis), ECS, SES, and S3)

• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and multi-environment deployments

• Strong database experience (SQL, migrations, environment promotion)

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (DataDog or similar)

• Experience working with logs, metrics, and production debugging

• Experience with background job systems (Resque or similar)

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

• Experience managing production incidents or participating in incident response

• Familiarity with security and compliance in regulated environments

• Experience working in Agile software teams


Compensation:

Base salary range: $110,000 - $135,000 (depending on experience)


Differentiators (but not required):

• Experience in healthcare, EMR, or ePrescribing systems

• Experience working with PHI and HIPAA-compliant systems

• Experience managing high-availability systems and scaling infrastructure

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform

• Experience optimizing cost and performance in AWS
