We are expanding our global telecoms team and are seeking 5x Level 3 Transmission (TX) Network Support Engineers (DWDM/SDH/IP/MPLS) to join a world-leading technology organization. This is a remote role based in LATAM.
Role Overview:
As a Level 3 TX Network Support Engineer, you will provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and optimisation for multi-vendor DWDM, SDH, Optical Transport, and IP/MPLS environments. You will act as the senior escalation point for critical issues, working closely with customer operations and engineering teams to ensure stable, high-performing transport networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 support for DWDM, SDH, Optical Transport, and IP/MPLS network environments, resolving complex technical issues.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and permanent problem resolution.
- Conduct network performance analysis, identifying degradation and recommending corrective actions.
- Support network integration activities, configuration audits, software validations, and acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot transmission, routing, switching, synchronization, and interoperability issues across multi-vendor environments.
- Collaborate with customer engineering and operations teams across LATAM.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and SLA adherence.
- Participate in planned maintenance activities, upgrades, migrations, and emergency support scenarios when required.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ hands-on experience in Transmission / Transport Network technologies, with proven experience supporting telecom operators in LATAM environments.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DWDM, SDH, Optical Transport, and IP/MPLS technologies.
- Experience with multi-vendor environments such as Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, Infinera, Ciena, Cisco, or Juniper.
- Proven expertise in advanced troubleshooting and fault isolation.
- Strong understanding of network performance analysis, alarms, KPIs, and service impact assessment.
- Experience with NMS/OSS tools for performance, fault, and configuration management.
- Familiarity with routing protocols and transport technologies such as MPLS, OSPF, BGP, LDP, RSVP-TE, Ethernet, and synchronization protocols.
- Experience working in remote, customer-facing support environments.
- Fluency in Spanish is required. English and/or Portuguese desirable.
