About the Opportunity

The Contract Database Support SME ensures the accuracy, usability, and security of contract data environments. This role leverages expertise in modern database and reporting tools to maintain and improve contract data systems. The position supports acquisition and contracting activities by developing databases, generating reports, ensuring data integrity, and assisting in system transitions. The role is critical for enabling reliable decision-making and strengthening contract oversight.



Responsibilities

  • Database Architecture & Design: Design and update database structures, forms, queries, and dashboards to meet acquisition and contracting needs.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct functional and regression testing to ensure database accuracy, security, and compliance.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Develop and refine reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI and other analytics tools. Produce recurring reports and analyze contract data to identify anomalies, risks, and inefficiencies.
  • Data Migration & Maintenance: Support migration to new contract writing and financial management systems, including legacy data preservation. Extract and validate contract and procurement data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Technical Support & Advisory: Provide advisory support and troubleshoot database-related issues to optimize performance and usability.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation for databases, workflows, and user guidance.



Requirements

  • Technical Experience: Over 10 years of experience in database support roles.
  • Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server, including complex query writing and database design. Competency in SharePoint Online is required.
  • Reporting & Software: Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 applications, with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Power BI for report and dashboard development.
  • Clearance & Compliance: Ability to obtain and maintain required federal security clearance, including standard background checks.
  • Work Environment: Fully remote position requiring active camera use during Microsoft Teams meetings when directed.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related technical field.



Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000.
  • Note: Final compensation is determined commensurate with individual experience and education.
