About The Role

This position is suited for an experienced developer who has managed the full mobile development lifecycle - from architecture decisions through to deploying a live app on both iOS and Android platforms.

You will co-lead the mobile app space alongside another experienced technical lead, working across consumer-facing applications operating at a significant national scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Delivery: Lead development utilizing React Native, TypeScript, and Expo.

• App Performance: Manage app performance, stability, and release quality from end to end.
• Engineering Standards: Define mobile engineering standards, testing methodologies, accessibility, and design systems.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with product, design, web, and platform teams on end-to-end feature delivery.

• Work Rights: A valid New Zealand work right is essential.
• Full Lifecycle Expertise: Extensive React Native experience, including a proven track record of deploying live applications to production environments.
• Technical Stack: Advanced TypeScript skills and a solid working knowledge of native iOS and Android environments. Expo experience is highly advantageous.
