Job Description


1. The company partners with major platforms and retail brands to integrate and promote digital content and products, positioning itself as a leading and fast-growing provider in its category.


2. About the Opportunity: The Data Analyst, Business plays a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that inform product development, marketing strategies, and leadership decisions. This position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, measure impact, and guide the organization’s growth through data-driven recommendations. The role requires independent end-to-end ownership of analyses and serves as a trusted analytical resource within product teams.


3. Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with a Product squad as the embedded analyst to size opportunities, support launches, evaluate experiments, and ensure decisions are data-informed.
  • Manage complete analyses including defining questions with stakeholders, writing SQL, modeling data, creating visualizations, and delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and self-serve tools for regular stakeholder use and adapt them as business needs evolve.
  • Define and document key product and business metrics in partnership with Analytics Engineering to ensure consistent metric understanding.
  • Communicate complex findings in clear terms to non-technical audiences through memos, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Advocate for and maintain strong data hygiene practices including clear metric definitions, reproducible queries, and version-controlled analyses.


4. Requirements:


  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a data, business, or product analyst in fast-paced consumer or B2B product environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL including joins, window functions, CTEs, and event-level data modeling; knowledge of Python (pandas) or dbt is a plus.
  • Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift and BI tools like Looker, Mode, or Tableau.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into scoped analyses and practical recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience working alongside non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous settings and motivated by influencing product decisions.
  • Availability to work from specified offices on a hybrid schedule or fully remote within designated regions.


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:


The base salary for this role is targeted at $160,000 to $170,000 for positions based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers consider factors such as location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from this range.
