Senior / Lead Fullstack Python Engineer
Location: Remote (US)
Compensation: $175,000 - $225,000
Reports to: Senior Director of Software Engineering
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior / Lead Fullstack Python Engineer to join a rapidly growing SaaS company that is building next-generation, AI-driven platforms. In this role, you'll combine hands-on coding with technical leadership, mentoring other engineers and shaping the direction of complex, highly scalable systems.
You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable, and performant features while fostering a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop high-performance, scalable applications across the full stack using Python and modern front-end technologies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and continuous learning.
- Define and implement system architecture to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and infrastructure.
- Champion best practices in testing, security, and deployment processes.
- Partner closely with Product and DevOps in Agile development cycles to deliver impactful features.
- Lead efforts to improve CI/CD pipelines and automation for faster, more reliable releases.
- Maintain clear technical documentation to support long-term stability and scalability.

What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong expertise in Python and modern frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.).
- Front-end experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and a modern framework (e.g., React or Redux).
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with messaging and asynchronous systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Experience implementing testing frameworks, code coverage, and quality standards.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bonus: Experience with workflow orchestration tools or observability stacks.
