Description
The Fountain Hills Sanitary District is seeking a qualified Project Manager Engineer to support the planning, management and administration of the District’s system and facility improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and oversee the design and construction of projects that extend, replace or enhance the District’s collection system infrastructure, wastewater treatment facilities, and reclaimed water storage and distribution systems.
- Manage consultants’ and contractors’ progress on the design and delivery of utility improvement projects, including preparing solicitations for qualifications, proposals and bids, as well as drafting scopes of work for contracts.
- Serve as construction manager, conducting field and construction inspections throughout project delivery.
- Support the District Manager with special projects, internal studies, regulatory reports, technical specifications and cost estimates.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exercises sound judgement and has a knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements affecting the planning, design, construction, and operation of a wastewater utility.
Minimum Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical or sanitary engineering.
- Five or more years of professional experience in the management of infrastructure design and construction projects.
- Ability to obtain registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Arizona within 12 months of hire.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with no major citations within the past 39 months.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
