An exceptionally well-funded early-stage startup ($3M raised) is building the data infrastructure layer that will power the future of scientific research and AI-driven discovery.

Today, most experimental data across research labs is fragmented across instruments, spreadsheets, and disconnected systems. This team is solving that problem by building a unified platform that transforms raw scientific data into structured, searchable, AI-ready datasets.

The company is already working with leading research organizations, including enterprise R&D teams, academic labs, and national laboratories — and demand is growing rapidly.

This is an opportunity to join very early (team of 3) and help define the technical foundation of a category-defining platform at the intersection of AI, data infrastructure, and science.

🔧 What You’ll Work On

• Build core data infrastructure: ingestion, normalization, storage, indexing

• Ship across the stack using Python + TypeScript/Next.js

• Design schemas that make heterogeneous lab data queryable

• Work closely with scientists to translate complex workflows into usable software

• Own reliability, scalability, and product quality tradeoffs

🧠 Ideal Background

• 4–8 years of full-stack engineering experience

• Strong backend/data infrastructure experience

• Comfortable shipping production systems end-to-end

• Experience with modern web stacks and cloud infrastructure
