Overview
The team at Edge has partnered with a client who is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data systems that power analytics, business intelligence, and growth across a portfolio of digital products. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where your work will directly influence decision-making across engineering, analytics, and marketing teams.
You’ll take ownership of the data platform, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and actionable at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data lake architecture
- Own data ingestion, transformation, and modeling for both structured and unstructured data
- Build and optimize high-performance data systems in a cloud-native (AWS) environment
- Partner with analytics and BI teams to deliver clean, query-ready datasets
- Improve data quality, monitoring, and anomaly detection processes
- Support reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc data analysis needs
- Mentor engineers and help establish data engineering best practices

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering within cloud-based environments
- Professional experience in marketing and/or adtech industries with high-volume data exposure
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Kinesis, Athena/Presto, or similar)
- Proven experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data lakes
- Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark)
- Strong collaboration skills working across engineering, analytics, and business teams
