We design and deliver transformative international learning experiences – from work placements and language courses to school visits, cultural excursions and job shadowing programmes. We work closely with British and European governments, schools, colleges, and training providers, and are active participants in both the Erasmus+ programme and the Turing Scheme as a sending and receiving organisation.
About the Role
This is a fully remote position based in Latvia, ideal for someone passionate about international education, youth development, and project delivery. As our Latvia-based Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning and delivering educational mobility programmes across Europe and beyond, working closely with our Portsmouth headquarters and a wide network of international partners – fully remotely.
You will take projects from application and planning through to delivery and reporting, serving as a vital link between IBD, European partner organisations, and institutions worldwide. Occasional travel across Europe may be required to support project delivery, with all expenses fully covered.
Key Responsibilities
- Cooperate with the team in the UK to plan, coordinate, and deliver international student mobility placements, primarily under the Turing Scheme and Erasmus+ programme.
- Work with British schools and colleges to define project objectives, timelines, and activities.
- Identify and liaise with international partner schools and host organisations across Europe and globally.
- Help manage all placement logistics: flights, accommodation, transport, catering, and activities.
- Help manage project budgets, ensure cost-effectiveness, and meet set margins.
- Track project progress, maintain documentation, and meet all reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to business development by identifying new schools, colleges, and organisational partners.
- Collaborate with IBD’s UK-based team and support wider organisational goals as required.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders across multiple time zones, adapting to changes as needed.

Key Requirements
- Great written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in a remote working environment.
- High attention to detail and time management.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects independently and under pressure.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
- Organised, proactive, and a strong team player across distributed teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for project delivery.
