Insight Global is seeking a Machine Learning Research Intern to support a cutting-edge automotive technology client. This individual will focus on developing AI-driven world models for connected and automated driving applications. The ideal candidate has a strong research background in machine learning and is passionate about advancing AI in simulation and real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate AI-based world models for connected and autonomous driving systems
- Research and implement generative and latent-space modeling approaches (e.g., diffusion models, VAEs)
- Conduct experiments using simulation platforms and/or real-world driving datasets
- Analyze results and present findings through technical documentation and presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional research and engineering teams

Required Qualifications:

- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., CARLA or similar platforms)
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)

Pay rate:
- PhD candidates: $57.20/hour
- Master’s candidates: $45.10/hour
- $2,000 one-time relocation stipend available for candidates relocating more than 50 miles
