This role sits at the intersection of advanced cloud infrastructure engineering and security compliance within highly regulated environments. The engineer will play a critical role in designing, securing, and maintaining hybrid Azure-based systems while ensuring strict adherence to government and industry compliance frameworks. Operating in a long-term, stable engagement, this position blends hands-on technical execution with escalation-level problem solving and infrastructure leadership. The environment is security-first, requiring strong attention to detail, operational discipline, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation. You will work across identity, endpoint, and cloud security domains while enabling audit readiness and continuous compliance. This is a highly collaborative role supporting both engineering teams and governance stakeholders in maintaining resilient, compliant systems at scale.

Accountabilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, security engineering, or infrastructure security roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments and hybrid identity architectures
  • Deep knowledge of identity management, PKI systems, and certificate lifecycle processes
  • Experience working in compliance-driven environments aligned with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 and CUI/ITAR requirements
  • Familiarity with CMMC Level 1 and/or Level 2 environments and audit support activities
  • Experience managing endpoint security and compliance using Microsoft Intune and related tools
  • Strong understanding of system hardening, secure configuration management, and vulnerability remediation practices
  • Background in supporting audits, IT governance frameworks, and compliance documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in complex, regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
