Director, Clinical Delivery Strategy

This role is a senior strategic and operational leadership position focused on transforming how clinical delivery operations are designed and executed at scale. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution, translating enterprise priorities into measurable improvements across referral workflows, patient progression, and study execution. The role requires a systems-thinking mindset to identify friction points across end-to-end clinical funnels and convert them into scalable solutions. You will partner closely with leaders across clinical operations, data & analytics, and technology to redesign processes that improve speed, quality, and efficiency. A key aspect of the role is driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring initiatives are not only well-designed but successfully adopted in real-world operations. This is a highly visible position with direct impact on patient access, operational performance, and organizational scalability.

Accountabilities

Lead the design and execution of strategic initiatives that improve clinical delivery performance, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.

• Lead the end-to-end clinical delivery strategy focused on referral funnel optimization, including intake, outreach, scheduling, conversion, and downstream operational performance
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and leakage points across clinical workflows and translate insights into structured improvement initiatives
• Define and track key operational KPIs in partnership with Data & Analytics to monitor funnel health and measure initiative impact
• Design and implement future-state operating models that improve scalability, consistency, and quality across clinical delivery teams
• Drive cross-functional programs from discovery through execution, including scope definition, governance, milestones, risk management, and reporting
• Partner with leadership to evolve staffing models, centralized workflows, and cross-site coordination mechanisms
• Lead process redesign efforts to eliminate duplication, reduce friction, and improve end-to-end patient and study flow
• Prepare executive-level materials to support prioritization, decision-making, and performance tracking
  
  

Requirements

This role requires strong strategic thinking, operational expertise, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, clinical operations, healthcare operations, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholder engagement
• Strong ability to translate business priorities into operational execution plans and measurable outcomes
• Deep experience in process design, workflow optimization, and operational scaling in complex environments
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and turn insights into actionable strategies
• Proven program and project management capabilities, including planning, execution tracking, and risk mitigation
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across executive leaders and frontline teams
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops, working sessions, and cross-functional alignment forums
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and process mapping or workflow design platforms
• Experience in healthcare, clinical trials, patient recruitment, or clinical operations is highly preferred
