About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team on a fully remote basis, primarily based in the UK. This contract position offers an initial six-week engagement with the possibility of extension, providing an excellent opportunity for a skilled developer to contribute to innovative projects within a collaborative environment. The role requires a strong full-stack background with a focus on backend development, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of PHP, WordPress, and related technologies, and will be comfortable working in a consultative manner to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a WordPress developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Solid understanding of PHP, JavaScript / JQuery, CSS (Vanilla and SCSS), and related web technologies.
• Experience with Laravel, CakePHP, Docker, WSL / Ubuntu, Nginx, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with SharePoint / ShortPoint intranet pages is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and plugins to meet client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver seamless digital solutions.
• Implement backend functionalities using PHP and JavaScript, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Manage database integration and optimization with MySQL.
• Utilize Docker, WSL / Ubuntu, and Nginx for development, testing, and deployment processes.
