Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate business requirements and release readiness.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external software vendors to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and confirm fixes.
Maintain action-item logs and follow through to closure, ensuring timely resolution and clear ownership.
Create and maintain internal and external documentation, including process guides, training materials, and release notes.
Update and maintain procedures to reflect system changes, operational updates, and quality improvements.
Provide timely responses to user inquiries related to credential maintenance workflows and system behavior.

Job Description


Remote: 100% Remote (must live within the continental U.S.)


Time Zones: preference will be given to applicants who live in the Eastern and Central time zones


Employment Type: Indefinite contract - renews annually (W-2 or 1099/IC)


Compensation: Up to $51/hour W-2 or up to $57/hour 1099/IC (commensurate with experience)

This contract role supports a personnel certification and credential maintenance program by ensuring software releases meet quality and operational requirements. You will own end-to-end test planning and execution, validate data and integrations, and keep stakeholders informed through clear documentation and communication. Success in this role requires strong UAT and regression testing skills, excellent organization across competing priorities, and the ability to translate process needs into reliable, repeatable test coverage.


Responsibilities:


  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate business requirements and release readiness.
  • Lead UAT and regression testing cycles, capture results, and clearly document defects, risks, and release recommendations.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness during system integration and data migration efforts, including reconciliation and exception tracking.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external software vendors to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and confirm fixes.
  • Maintain action-item logs and follow through to closure, ensuring timely resolution and clear ownership.
  • Create and maintain internal and external documentation, including process guides, training materials, and release notes.
  • Update and maintain procedures to reflect system changes, operational updates, and quality improvements.
  • Provide timely responses to user inquiries related to credential maintenance workflows and system behavior.


Required Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience creating test plans and executing UAT and regression testing.
  • Experience in administrative roles, including coordinating workstreams, tracking action items, and managing documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus document sharing and collaboration platforms.
  • Hands-on experience supporting system integration and data migration activities, including data validation and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, UAT, and regression tests prior to release.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder updates and coordination across multiple teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
