Job Description

The Backup and DR Engineer will support operations by administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-grade backup, restore, and disaster recovery environments. The role focuses on ensuring data protection, service continuity, and resilience of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures in line with security and operational standards.

• Proven experience with enterprise-grade backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience integrating backup and DR solutions with virtual infrastructures.
• Experience in data replication and disaster recovery services.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple support groups.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and ITIL-based processes.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies.

Qualifications

• University degree at minimum EQF Level 6 (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT professional experience.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
