THE ROLE
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Android applications across a variety of projects and clients. This is a full-time, home-office-based role joining our fast-growing team working in Latin America, with core hours aligned to Eastern time.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Android applications
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Continuously improve application performance and user experience
- Identify and resolve complex bugs while optimizing application efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers
- Participate in peer code reviews and agile ceremonies (Scrum)
- Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth releases and automation processes
- Stay up to date with Android development trends, tools, and best practices
- Communicate daily with US-based team members and stakeholders
- Use Gen AI to enhance your efficiency
- Perform other related duties as assigned, aligned with the evolution of the role

YOUR SKILLS — WHAT WE REQUIRE
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in mobile development
- Strong experience in native Android development (Kotlin)
- Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
- Experience with Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation, etc.)
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
- Strong experience with Git and version control workflows
- Understanding of mobile performance optimization and debugging
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
WILL BE A PLUS
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Experience with multi-platform environments (React Native or iOS exposure)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Experience with Bluetooth or wearable integrations
- Experience with streaming applications (video/audio)
- Experience with in-app purchases or subscription models
- Experience in fitness, wellness, or health-related applications
