Role Title: Physical Security Engineer
Location: Fully Remote, try to stay away from California residence
Shift: M-Th 8-5pm, Fri – 8-12pm(4 9’s and a 1/2 day Friday
Role Type: Direct
Pay: $90-130k

· Industry is a large EPC firm that does mostly nuclear and power gen design builds/mods
Must Haves
· Some nuclear experience required.
· Need to have physical security experience and be able to do the wiring design packages as well.
· Has to have had physical security design experience, re-zoning, upgrading old, outdated hardware is what they do. Then be able to do the power supply and wiring design with it as well.

Regular Example
· Intrusion Detection Systems including radar, lidar, microwave sensors, and camera platforms
· Upgrading legacy analog camera and sensor systems to modern digital platforms
· Zone reconciliation and redesign
o Example scenario: reducing 40 existing zones to 35 through optimized redesign
o Re-mapping and re-zoning all cameras and sensor networks
o Delivering cost and schedule efficiencies through improved architecture

Key Responsibilities
· Design, integrate, and support physical security systems including cameras, infrared detection, sensors, and access control technologies.

· Interface security systems with plant computer systems and control networks to ensure reliable monitoring and response.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
· 5+ years of experience supporting physical security or protection systems in regulated or critical environments.
· Background in nuclear security, physical protection systems, or secure industrial facilities preferred.
· Experience with instrumentation and controls concepts applied to security systems.
· Understanding of physical security network engineering and system integration.
· Ability to support design documentation, system testing, and field implementation activities.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary technical teams.
