Job Description
Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: Digital Marketing Specialist
Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Reports to: Head of Sales & Marketing (interim: Managing Director)
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the Brisbane business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is:
An Australian-based sports apparel and teamwear company that partners with clubs, schools, and sporting organisations to deliver high-quality customised uniforms and performance gear.
Role Overview: To own the day-to-day execution of the company’s digital marketing presence — organic and paid social, email, newsletter, and website content — and to capture inbound leads at the point they emerge. The role is the operational engine behind a consistent, premium brand presentation across every digital channel the company controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organic social cadence is reliable across all four platforms — two feed posts per week across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn never slip, including through busy or campaign-heavy weeks, supported by a two-week forward buffer that absorbs week-to-week variation.
- Inbound leads and enquiries are captured and routed promptly — DMs, comments and digital enquiries logged into Attio and surfaced to the right Partner or Account Manager, so digital traffic converts into pipeline rather than dropping into a void.
- Broader digital marketing channels run on schedule and on brand — email campaigns, newsletter, website content and paid social content (executed to the Head of Platform & Operations' strategy) are produced to Brand Guidelines and delivered against the agreed cadence.
- Daily engagement work is consistent, professional and on-brand — Instagram monitoring, comments, reposts and direct messages handled with the company’s discipline and tone, not skipped when content prep is busy.
- Monthly performance reporting delivers insight, not just numbers — content performance, audience growth, email and paid social metrics synthesised into recommendations that shape the next month's content plan.

Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience Depth: 3–6 years of experience across digital marketing, content execution and multi-channel campaign support.
- Channel Capability: Strong working experience across organic social (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn), paid Meta Ads and Google Ads (content execution only; strategy handled internally), SEO, email/EDM, newsletters and website content.
- Platform Familiarity: Shopify experience is a plus; comfortable using native platform tools across key marketing channels.
- Industry Alignment: Experience working in-house for a consumer brand preferred (not necessarily e-commerce); sports industry exposure or genuine interest is a nice-to-have.
- Deliver on Detail: Captions, hashtags, visuals, links and scheduling are right first time — typos, broken links, wrong-format assets and off-platform tone are caught before publishing.
- Creative Initiative: Develops a content point of view; brings ideas, themes and angles forward rather than only executing the handbook; lifts the brief over time.
- Brand Discipline: Keeps every post, email, newsletter and web update aligned with company’s voice and Brand Guidelines — clear, confident, professional, disciplined; does not drift toward casual hype or generic content marketing.
- Multi-Channel Digital Craft: Strong working knowledge across organic social platforms, Buffer, Meta Ads Manager (content side), email marketing platforms, basic web CMS work and content performance analytics.
- Put Teams First: Coordinates effectively with the Graphic Designer, Partner and Account Managers and other internal stakeholders across time zones; closes loops on briefs, approvals and asset handovers.
- Act Like Owners: Treats the cadence, the inbox, the lead pipeline and the brand presentation as their own — chases assets, flags risks early, and does not let things slip because they are waiting on approval.
- Stronger Every Season: Reads performance data critically; learns the company’s brand, customer base and product range quickly; adjusts what is published next based on what worked last month.
- Portfolio Requirement: Portfolio to be requested during the application process.
What Failure Looks Like
- Posting cadence drops during busy or campaign-heavy weeks; the forward buffer thins and platforms go quiet for stretches.
- Inbound enquiries from social DMs, comments and digital channels sit unread or unattributed for too long, and do not translate into Attio leads or warm hand-offs to the sales team.
- Brand drift sets in — tone slips toward casual hype, visual standards become inconsistent across platforms, and engagement work (likes, comments, reposts) is the first thing to be skipped when other tasks crowd in.

Non-negotiables
- Every post, email and asset complies with the company’s Brand Guidelines and tone of voice — no off-brand, off-tone or sloppily executed content goes out under the company’s name.
- Inbound enquiries from social DMs, comments and digital channels are logged into Attio and surfaced to the right rep promptly.
- Approvals are respected — club-specific content cleared with the relevant Partner or Account Manager; everything else cleared with the Managing Director (interim) or the Head of Sales & Marketing — before scheduling or sending.
- The forward content buffer is maintained — two weeks of approved content scheduled ahead is the operating standard, with one week the floor during onboarding or quieter periods.
Key Interfaces
- Head of Sales & Marketing (long-term reporting line)
- Managing Director (interim reporting line; approver for non-club content)
- Graphic Designer (peer; campaign assets and brand asset library)
- Partner Managers and Account Managers (approvers for club-specific content; recipients of routed leads)
- Head of Platform & Operations (paid social strategy; the role executes content under that strategy)
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
