Job Description
Hybrid Full Stack Developer + People Operations (HR/Talent) – Trainable Role
About the Role (Read this first – important training note included)
We’re on the hunt for a one‑of‑a‑kind hybrid pro – someone who loves building awesome websites and connecting with great people. In this role, you’ll be the master of two worlds: hands‑on full stack development (building, fixing, and keeping our site in top shape) plus smart, people‑first HR (sourcing real talent, filtering out scammers, scheduling interviews, vetting candidates, managing contracts, and working with team members across the globe).
We will train you on what to look out for when speaking with and conducting interviews, how to send documents and handle related administrative tasks, and things of that nature. You don’t need to be a seasoned HR pro on day one – but you do need a sharp eye for authenticity, strong communication instincts, and a willingness to learn our systems for document management, interview scoring, and scam detection.
If you get excited about clean code, even better communication, and making both our product and our people shine – you’re exactly who we need. Bring your tech skills, your eye for authenticity, and your upbeat, international‑friendly attitude. Let’s build something great together!
Full details and the complete scope of this job will be presented during the interview process. The following sections provide a comprehensive preview, but we will review specific expectations, performance metrics, training modules, and daily workflows directly with candidates.
Job Duties (Detailed & Expanded)
The role is divided into two core areas: Talent & HR Operations and Full Stack Development & QA. You will receive hands‑on training for the interview and document‑handling tasks noted below.
Talent Acquisition & HR Operations (with training provided)
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies – including passive sourcing, employee referral programs, and targeted job board posting.
- Manage employee orientation, performance evaluations, and training & development – conduct first‑week onboarding, set up 30/60/90‑day plans, and coordinate ongoing upskilling.
- Lead employee relations – serve as first point of contact for questions, mediate minor conflicts, and escalate as needed.
- Implement change management and organizational design – support strategic planning and workforce management (headcount forecasting, role adjustments).
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy – update records, run compliance reports, and ensure data integrity.
- Administer contracts, policies, and compliance – generate offer letters, confidentiality agreements, and policy acknowledgements.
- Facilitate succession planning and affirmative action – identify high‑potential team members and support diversity goals.
- Strategically source and post full stack developer jobs – use LinkedIn, Stack Overflow, and niche tech boards.
- Filter real candidates vs. scammers – verify portfolios, cross‑check identity, flag proxy interview attempts (training provided on red flags).
- Schedule interviews, meetings, and technical assessments – coordinate across time zones, send automated reminders (Calendly, Google Calendar), organize project‑specific review meetings.
- Conduct interviews and thoroughly vet candidates – lead technical/behavioral interviews, evaluate soft skills/cultural fit, administer take‑home or live coding sessions, verify work history/references, make final hiring recommendations. You will be trained on structured interview scorecards and scam detection techniques.
- Manage recruitment budget – track spending on job postings, background checks, software subscriptions, agency fees.
- Build a talent pipeline – network at meetups (virtual or in‑person), maintain passive candidate CRM (simplified sheet or ATS).
- Conduct onboarding and technical orientation – set up dev environment (Docker, Git, IDE), introduce codebase, assign first tickets.
- Perform regular 1:1 performance check‑ins – every week with developers; document notes and action items.
- Stay current with tech and recruiting trends – read blogs, experiment with new frameworks, learn emerging scam patterns (shared resources provided).
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams – headcount forecasts, ensure EEO/data protection compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Implement and monitor KPIs – website uptime, bug fix time, candidate response rate, offer acceptance, quality of hire, diversity metrics.

Full Stack Development & Quality Assurance (no training needed – you must already have these skills)
- Do hands‑on full stack development – build new features, spot errors/security vulnerabilities, fix bugs immediately, refactor code, manage version control (Git) and deployments (CI/CD pipelines).
- Perform quality control on the company website – continuous QA across browsers/devices, monitor project health (Lighthouse, New Relic), enforce coding/documentation standards, conduct UAT.
- Manage project details and technical documentation – create clear specs, maintain living knowledge base (Confluence/Notion), document fixes, send updates to stakeholders.
- Work with employees internationally – participate in async stand‑ups, respect time zones, use Slack/Teams for collaboration.
Document & Document Handling Training (explicitly covered)
You will be trained on how to send documents and things of that nature, including:
- Generating and sending offer letters, NDAs, and contractor agreements via secure platforms (e.g., DocuSign, HelloSign).
- Organizing employee files (digital) in compliance with local retention laws.
- Submitting compliance documents to finance/legal (I‑9s, W‑9s, tax forms, visa letters).
- Sending performance review forms, development plans, and policy updates to remote teams.
- Using templates for reference check requests, background check authorizations, and termination letters.
All document workflows will have step‑by‑step runbooks; you will never be expected to figure out legal or HR documentation alone.
