We are a small, tight-knit remote team with very little bureaucracy. If you spot a problem, we expect you to speak up. If you discover a better way of doing something, we want to hear it.

About The Role

We are looking for a Power BI Developer / Virtual Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on reporting and data visualisation role focused on building dashboards, translating business requirements into clear visual insights, and maintaining reliable reporting environments.

We value people who are honest, easy to communicate with, follow instructions well, and can work independently without constant supervision. Technical skills are important, but so is the way you work.

The role covers reporting, data modelling, business intelligence, and process improvement. If you enjoy turning complex data into something businesses can actually understand and use, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions
• Create data models, perform data analysis, and generate insights that support business objectives
• Write and optimise queries using DAX, Power Query, and M Language to improve data accuracy and performance

• Define data relationships and structures to support efficient reporting and data management
• Optimise Power BI solutions for performance, usability, and scalability
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across dashboards and reports
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to maintain system reliability
• Work with Microsoft Fabric and Azure cloud databases to extract and integrate data for reporting purposes
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into the BI environment
• Follow best practices for documentation, reporting standards, and data management
• Provide support and guidance to end-users using Power BI reports and dashboards
• Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features, tools, and best practices
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI role
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling
• Experience with Excel, Power Query, and Power Pivot
• Familiarity with SQL and database management
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
• Experience building KPI dashboards and automated reporting systems
• Strong data visualisation skills, including charts, interactive dashboards, and report design
• Ability to turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently without constant supervision
• Honest, reliable, and straightforward communication style
