Job Description
We are looking for a Freelance Project Manager with in-depth experience across SDLC Projects for a long-term Freelance contract delivered 100% remotely.
The role :
- Leads customer engagements / a program to ensure that they meet all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects.
- Manages and coordinates effective corporate, customer, and third-party vendor resources to plan and implement solutions that safeguard customer business objectives defined in the SoW/contract.
- Responsible for delivering outcomes as well as team management, project financials, risk, change and scope management and project stakeholder and communications management.
Job specifics/responsibilities:
- Leading the project teams on his/ her engagements to ensure effective and efficient SDLC (Software development life cycle and Engagement delivery frameworks and Quality management best practices are followed in the development, design, deployment, integration, testing and operational support/ management.
- Manages customer project delivery for medium to high complexity projects in the range of 300k to 2.5M USD in the Middle East region, across multiple verticals not limited to telcos, financial sector, MSPs, aviation, etc.
- Manages Revenue and safeguards healthy delivery margin leveraging effective project management techniques around change and risk management
- Medium to high-risk engagements due to multiple factors not limited to complexity or maturity of solution implemented, customer process/ environment complexities, cultural and communication challenges, scope creep and managing expectations and ensuring accountability at all times and levels.
- Provides reliable financial forecasts to the management on a weekly & monthly basis
- Identifies and develops new opportunities on current project – up and cross selling
- Collaborate internally with the account teams, management, support, PM/RnD, finance, Biz Ops and Q2C to meet or exceed revenue, margin, customer satisfaction and market share goals.
- Manages mid to upper-level client delivery relationships.
- Manages project team including task allocation, holding resources accountable for their estimates and timesheets and ensuring tasks are completed within the agreed timelines and quality standards, leveraging effective communication and risk mitigation techniques
- Provides performance review input and indication of area of development for team members.

Education (degree) and professional experience required:
- First-level university degree. Degree in Computer Science/IT, Project Operations, Project Management or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management or in similar roles/businesses (software).
Personal skills and qualities:
- Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of project management standards, principles,, processes and methodologies applicable to the SDLC and digital transformation engagements.
- Agile, waterfall and hybrid project management experience
- Experience with tools like Jira, confluence, Kanban board, etc is considered an advantage
- Speaks with expertise to many layers of depth related to project management methods.
- Advanced communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Committed, flexible, very strong multi tasking and leadership skills, able to motivate teams to perform at their best and developing continuous, profitable client relationships
- Arabic language is considered an advantage.
