Overview
This role leads the Go-To-Market strategy for Intellicia's AI Synthetic Consumers solution in Japan. You will communicate the value of our AI-powered alternative to traditional research methodologies in Japan's ~$1.5B market research industry, driving PoC engagements and contracts with major Japanese enterprises and research agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Japan market entry strategy (GTM): define target segments, pricing strategy, and distribution channels
- Drive sales and partnerships with major Japanese corporations (FMCG, finance, automotive, etc.) and research agencies (Intage, Macromill, Cross Marketing, etc.)
- Plan and manage PoC projects; deliver client presentations in Japanese
- Analyze competitive landscape and develop localized marketing strategies for Japan
- Identify and build relationships with Japanese partners and distributors
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams at Seoul HQ to relay Japan-specific product feedback

Qualifications
- Business-level Japanese proficiency or above — capable of conducting presentations and contract negotiations in Japanese. Native Japanese speakers are strongly encouraged to apply
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development within SaaS, research, or consulting industries
- Business experience in the Japanese market or track record of selling to Japanese enterprises
- Understanding of market research, consumer insights, and marketing research domains
- Ability to communicate with Seoul HQ (Korean or English; level of fluency is flexible)
Nice to Have
- Established network in Japan's research industry (Intage, Macromill, Cross Marketing, JMRA, etc.)
- Experience launching or leading GTM for AI/SaaS products in Japan
- Based in Tokyo or available for on-the-ground work in Japan
- 0-to-1 market pioneering experience in a startup environment
- Multilingual capability (Japanese + English and/or Korean)
