About the role
The Data Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving scalable data pipelines and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS. The role is central to designing reliable data systems that support business-critical applications.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Work extensively with AWS services
- Collaborate in a small cross-functional team (backend & frontend engineers)
- Participate in daily sprint cycles
- Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions
- Improve performance, scalability, and data reliability
- 1 day per two weeks onsite in Terneuzen or Utrecht
Who you are

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Data Engineering experience or similar
- Strong hands-on AWS experience
- Solid understanding of ETL, data pipelines, and cloud architecture

- Interest in experimenting with modern technologies
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience in small, agile teams
- Experience in sprint-based environments
- Interest in both infrastructure and application-level data use
