Overview
Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytically minded Workforce Planning Analyst to help shape the future of their organization’s workforce strategy. This role will support the design and implementation of a long-term workforce planning initiative — focused on forecasting headcount, assessing skill gaps, and aligning future staffing needs with evolving business and technology priorities.
You’ll play a critical role in developing tools, models, and reports that enable leadership to make informed, forward-looking decisions about talent and organizational design.
Responsibilities
- Develop workforce planning models to forecast headcount, skill gaps, and role demand across a multi-year roadmap.
- Collect and consolidate people data across departments to assess current workforce composition and future needs.
- Build and maintain tools (primarily in Excel; Tableau a plus) to track capacity, training metrics, and development investments.
- Support efforts to identify where automation or technology may reshape workforce needs, reducing reliance on certain entry-level roles.
- Partner with functional leaders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and translate findings into actionable workforce strategies.
- Analyze and report on metrics such as skill inventories, vacancy risk, training participation, and professional development hours.
- Create efficiencies in data management, reporting, and visualization to support proactive, data-backed decision-making.
- Contribute to the design of scalable forecasting and analytics frameworks to support future growth (up to 2,000 teammates).
