Job Description


We are seeking an innovative, hands-on, development‑oriented AI Engineer with 8+ years of experience in AI/ML/NLP and strong expertise in prompt engineering, context engineering, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to refine and optimize LLM responses.

This role focuses on building prototypes of emerging technologies that solve complex business problems and deploying AI solutions in cloud‑native environments. You’ll join a highly collaborative, forward‑thinking team dedicated to delivering impactful AI‑driven solutions.


Fully Remote – Work from anywhere in the continental U.S.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop end‑to‑end plans for cloud‑native AI/ML/NLP solutions aligned with cybersecurity policies
  • Design and engineer pilots, prototypes, and proof‑of‑concepts for modernization and innovation initiatives
  • Optimize LLM performance through iterative prompt engineering, context engineering, and RAG refinement
  • Build predictive models, ML algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve business challenges
  • Present implementation plans, recommendations, and demonstrations to executive and technical stakeholders
  • Ensure transparency, traceability, and security aligned with compliance standards (including ATO requirements)
  • Collaborate with data engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into solutions
  • Support CX, UX, and human‑centered design initiatives
  • Develop reusable code libraries and best practices
  • Stay current on advancements in AI, ML, NLP, and LLM technologies
  • Support Agile teams in operationalizing AI solutions
  • Analyze data usage patterns to uncover insights and opportunities


Required Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in AI, ML, NLP, data modeling, and cloud‑native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong hands‑on experience with prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM ingestion
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must have lived in the U.S. continuously for the past 2 years

(Equivalent experience may be substituted for education where appropriate)


Technical Skills

  • Languages: Python, R, SQL, Java
  • Frameworks/Tools: PyTorch, Databricks
  • Cloud & Big Data: AWS (S3, SageMaker, Redshift), Azure, GCP, Hadoop, Hive
  • DevOps: Terraform, GitLab pipelines, Docker, Git
  • Visualization: Tableau, Power BI
  • MLOps: Model deployment, monitoring, and pipelines


Nice to Have

  • MLOps and DevSecOps automation experience
  • NLP, computer vision, or deep learning expertise
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Rally a plus)


Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
