Job Description
We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with 15 Embedded Systems & Firmware Engineers for part-time, fully-remote work supporting frontier AI research. Projects start at $80–120 USD per hour, with higher rates for senior engineers and recognized experts.
This role includes designing original embedded systems problems from scratch, stress-testing leading AI models on research-level embedded and firmware problems, and assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a trained embedded systems engineer.

Who We're Looking For
You are actively engaged in embedded systems or firmware development and have professional experience writing low-level software for microcontrollers, SoCs, or custom silicon, including board bring-up, driver development, and working close to the hardware.
Ideal backgrounds include:
- Firmware engineers at semiconductor or hardware companies (Nvidia, Apple, Intel, Qualcomm, Tesla, SpaceX, etc.)
- Embedded engineers at IoT, robotics, automotive, or aerospace companies
- SoC bring-up, BSP, or driver development engineers
- RTOS, bootloader, or low-level systems engineers
- Faculty or researchers working on embedded systems at universities or research institutes
- Senior engineers who have shipped firmware on production hardware
