We are seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Application Developer to support the delivery, maintenance, and modernization of Alberta’s investment and economic intelligence digital platforms. This role supports a portfolio of data‑driven, public‑facing web applications used by investors, businesses, economic developers, and internal government stakeholders.
You will play a key role in architecting, enhancing, and supporting complex web‑based solutions built over the past 15+ years, while helping modernize them using cloud‑native, scalable, and secure approaches.
This is a hands‑on senior role that combines architecture, development, cloud services, performance optimization, and production support in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
Must Have
Work Experience
- Architecting complex web-based component solutions.
- Designing and developing data pipelines and data applications using SQL.
- Hands-on experience performing and analyzing application, website, and API performance issues.
- Supporting cloud services, such as Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.

- CI/CD and software development lifecycle (SDLC) automation.
- Designing and developing AI assistants for data-driven applications.

- Working with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., AmCharts, Tableau), and mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox)
