Your Profile & DNA:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Test Automation Lead to drive end-to-end automation testing initiatives for large-scale enterprise applications within the Banking and Financial Services domain.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in automation framework design, test strategy implementation, Agile delivery, and team leadership. This role requires hands-on technical capabilities combined with the ability to manage automation programs, mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive quality engineering best practices across complex digital platforms.

The candidate should have deep experience in Selenium, Appium, API testing, CI/CD integration, and automation framework implementation from scratch.

Roles & Responsibilities

Test Automation Strategy & Leadership

• Define, implement, and manage end-to-end automation testing strategies for enterprise-scale applications.
• Lead automation testing initiatives across Web, Mobile, and Web Services platforms.
• Design and develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks from scratch.
• Establish and maintain regression automation suites using Selenium and related automation technologies.
• Drive quality engineering best practices across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

Automation Framework Development

• Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using:

Selenium

Appium

Java and/or JavaScript

• Build automation solutions for:

Web applications

Mobile applications

APIs and Web Services

• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Support implementation of TDD/BDD methodologies and automation standards.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform automation testing for:

Functional Testing

Regression Testing

Integration Testing

API Testing

End-to-End Testing

• Conduct REST API testing and SQL database validations.
• Ensure proper defect tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution validation.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting activities.

Agile & Delivery Management

• Work within Agile Scrum/Kanban and Waterfall delivery models.
• Coordinate testing activities based on project schedules and test plans.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and potential issues proactively and communicate effectively with project and program stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Program Test Managers, developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure successful delivery.

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automation suites with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Work with tools such as:

Jenkins

Maven

Azure DevOps

• Support cloud-based testing initiatives and Azure Cloud environments.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Lead and coordinate QA and automation teams across large programs.
• Mentor and coach junior automation engineers and testers.
• Support technical skill development and training initiatives within the team.
• Manage vendor resources and coordinate distributed testing teams.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Work closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Present testing status, risks, metrics, and quality insights to leadership teams.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure testing objectives align with user requirements, product risks, and business goals.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Overall 10+ years of proven experience in Test Automation.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience leading automation testing initiatives and framework development.
• Proven experience implementing automation frameworks from scratch for enterprise applications.
• Experience managing end-to-end automation testing strategies for large-scale systems.
• Strong experience within Banking or Financial Services environments.
• Experience testing online/digital platforms and enterprise applications.
