Fully Remote | Contract | Monday–Friday, 9AM–6PM (GMT+4)

Are you passionate about building scalable automation systems that improve developer experience and release quality at scale? We’re currently looking for an Automation Specialist to join a high-performing engineering environment focused on mobile quality infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and release engineering.

This is not a traditional QA role — we’re looking for someone who thinks like a software engineer building quality infrastructure, capable of automating delivery pipelines, implementing engineering guardrails, and improving release reliability across mobile platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build, execute, and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines across PR builds, caching strategies, and internal device farms
  • Implement automated quality guardrails that enforce app stability, performance, and reliability before merge/release
  • Contribute to automation around release infrastructure and delivery tooling
  • Build integrations connecting crash logs, test results, and observability dashboards
  • Automate incident and regression tracking across mobile releases
  • Implement API/contract testing within CI pipelines to proactively detect breaking backend changes
  • Develop mock servers and automated test data generation scripts for stable E2E testing
  • Create linting rules, static analysis checks, and developer automation tooling to reduce manual effort
  • Improve developer experience by building systems that scale without manual intervention

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, SDET, Platform Engineer, or DevOps Engineer
  • Strong coding skills in at least one of the following: TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, or Kotlin
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins, etc.
  • Strong scripting skills using Bash or similar
  • Experience working with automation testing frameworks such as Maestro, Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso
  • Good understanding of mobile application architecture and frontend/backend interactions
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with high empathy for developer experience (DevX)

Ideal Mindset

  • Builds systems that run independently
  • Thinks beyond test execution and focuses on engineering impact
  • Uses data to drive quality improvements
  • Influences engineering teams and delivery practices
  • Identifies as a software engineer building quality infrastructure

What Success Looks Like

  • Within 30 days: Ship your first CI/CD or automation improvement into production
  • Within 6 months: Improve a measurable engineering metric such as build speed or test stability
  • Long-term: Become a key contributor in scaling release reliability and developer productivity
