HRIS Analyst III – Workday Benefits
Reports To: HRIS Manager / Director of HR Technology
Location: 100% Remote
Compensation: $110,000 – $125,000 base
Position Summary
We are seeking a senior-level HRIS Analyst III with deep expertise in the Workday Benefits module to support and optimize HR technology systems across the organization. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate configuration, compliance, and seamless functionality of benefits systems that directly impact employee experience.
You’ll serve as a subject matter expert, partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT to enhance system performance, lead implementations, and drive continuous improvement across Workday Benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the SME for Workday Benefits configuration, administration, and optimization
- Manage benefits-related business processes including enrollments, life events, and eligibility rules
- Configure and maintain benefit plans, rates, vendors, and integrations within Workday
- Lead or support open enrollment cycles, including system testing and troubleshooting
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure data accuracy and system alignment
- Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience
- Support Workday releases, updates, and regression testing
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolution
- Maintain system documentation, process flows, and training materials

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of HRIS experience with a strong focus on Workday
- Hands-on expertise in Workday Benefits module configuration
- Experience managing open enrollment cycles in Workday
- Strong understanding of benefits administration, compliance, and data integrity
- Experience with integrations, reporting, and system testing
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
