For this opportunity, you will join our team supporting EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. As part of a transformation programme, EUMETSAT is deploying and operationalising a new Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform and is looking for an experienced IAM Engineer to help strengthen and secure its evolving digital landscape. Working in an international and highly technical environment, you will play an active role in securing access to critical services that support weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and environmental protection across Europe.
Tasks and activities
- Supporting Security Engineering activities related to the maintenance and operation of a custom‑built IAM system at EUMETSAT.
- Handling L1 support for the IAM solution during EUMETSAT business hours, including escalation to L2 support as needed.
- Integrating, testing, and troubleshooting applications and systems with the IAM solution.
- End‑to‑end onboarding of applications to the IAM solution, with stakeholder coordination.
- Documenting all relevant processes in clear, repeatable, step‑by‑step procedures.
- Providing regular reporting on progress, blocking points, and results.

Skills and experience
- University degree (or equivalent) in IT Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of proven experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems in complex environments.
- Proven experience in customer‑facing operational support (L1), using ticketing tools such as Jira.
- Strong IT background with hands‑on experience in security engineering, Linux administration, or equivalent.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills at OS and application level.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
