About The Role

The Data Analyst Contractor for Payment Analytics will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our client's payments business. This position involves working on multiple initiatives related to Credit Card, Gift Card, and Alternative Payments programs. The analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis, developing KPI reports, forecasting future trends, and performing post-promotional assessments. A key component of this role is creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, be comfortable handling large datasets, and demonstrate the ability to communicate complex data findings effectively through storytelling. This is a fast-paced, independent position with high visibility and a direct impact on strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within payments, e-commerce, or related fields
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
• Familiarity with KPIs, forecasting, and post-promo analysis
• Strong storytelling skills to effectively communicate complex data insights
• Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
