Network Engineer - Fully Remote - Play a Critical Role in Operational Support

Embracing a hybrid multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) / on-premise ecosystem to address infrastructure diversity, this company is looking for a Network Engineer who will engage in all aspects of the design, implementation and ongoing stewardship of their hosting environments. You will take a hands-on approach and play a critical role in operational support of existing legacy and future acquired assets.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Evaluating, testing, developing and implementing complex technical solutions to address a variety of business problems. This will include hardware, software, configurations standards and creating solutions with a specific focus on driving business value.
- Taking responsibility for supporting network infrastructure including but not limited to switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, and cloud networking resources.
- Managing highly visible/risky changes and ensures infrastructure is running efficiently.
- Acting the liaison to peers in Engineering, Architecture, Information Security and Production Support.
- Developing written procedures, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Ensuring the availability, performance, and operational integrity of the Network Engineering domain.
- Aligning systems solutions/technologies to complement and support business/strategic plans.
- Coordinating appliance and software upgrades with vendors and teams.
- Coordinating and directing preventative maintenance of significant systems components.

What You Will Need To Have

- A minimum of 2 years experience with enterprise-level network support.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Palo Alto solutions.
- Automation / Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, etc) experience.
- Juniper Networks experience is highly advantageous.
- Technical hands-on expertise with Layer 2, 3, 4, and 7 switching, routing, and application delivery technologies.
- Demonstrable knowledge and administrative capability of core routing, switching, IP networking, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, QoS, VLAN, VXLAN, and BGP protocols/technologies.
- Relevant certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE, PCCSE, PCSAE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, etc) preferred
- Solid experience with Virtual Private Networking, and Wireless Access Points.
- Bash/PowerShell/Perl/Python or other scripting.
- Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation.
