Senior Software Engineer (Medical Device / C++) | $130,000–$150,000 AUD

Pearson Carter are currently working with a VC-backed Australian MedTech start-up focused on developing cutting-edge biosensor technology. Due to growth, they are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical delivery and mentor a small engineering team working on a regulated medical device platform.

They offer an excellent salary of $130K–$150K

Responsibilities:

Lead design and development of medical device software systems

Develop high-quality C/C++ applications in Linux environments

Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and medical device standards

Build and maintain OTA update, BLE/NFC, and secure device workflows

Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership

Collaborate with hardware, clinical, and product teams

Experience:

10+ years software engineering experience

Strong C/C++ and Linux development background

Experience in SaMD / medical device environments

Exposure to IEC 62304 / ISO 13485 (or similar regulated environments)

Strong system design, testing, and documentation skills

Proven experience delivering products to market

Salary

They offer an excellent salary package: $130,000–$150,000

Location

Perth - 1 day Hybrid - Relocation package available
