A UK-based AI-focused start-up is seeking for an ambitious CTO to take on a pivotal leadership role in aligning technology strategies with business goals, making their platform a one-stop shop for all AI content needs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role
• Experience in a start-up environment
• Strong knowledge of coding and a deep understanding of software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (daily hands-on coding is not required for this position)
• Full-stack development experience with Django and Next.js
• Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments using AWS
• Familiarity with integrating AI solutions using OpenAI, Replicate.com, and HuggingFace.co APIs
• Expertise in deploying and managing Elasticsearch for fast and efficient searches
• Extensive experience with integrating and managing payment systems through Stripe
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

Responsibilities:

• Build, shape, and lead the technology team, including software developers, engineers, and data scientists
• Design the organisation’s technical infrastructure and assess the current technologies/tech stack
• Lead R&D efforts, experiment with new technologies, and foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the technology team
• Implement robust cybersecurity measures across the organisation’s digital landscape
• Establish strategic partnerships with industry contacts to explore potential collaborations
• Develop and manage technology budgets, optimising resource allocation to support various initiatives while maintaining financial discipline
• Work closely with the CEO to ensure technology solutions align fully with business needs
