Staff Engineer | Principal Engineer - PHP/Laravel

Looking for:

Tech stack: PHP, Laravel, GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AWS, DevOps, Docker, PHPunit, Unit Testing, Event Driven Architecture.

About the Role:

• I'm looking for Principal engineers OR Staff Engineers OR Senior backend PHP/Laravel engineers who have in depth experience with backend architecture and infrastructure from planning, designing, developing, testing and deployment.
• Heavily involved in Google Cloud platform (GCP) - Cloud functions
• Event Driven Architecture.
• Working on a very high powered Search API
• Working on high-performance platform, enhancements, extensions, API's and adding on new customised features.
• Working with Management and development team to Drive best practices in software development.
• Create new ideas and bring them to the table!
• You’ll be working on heavy backend development and be given the opportunity to work on the latest frameworks and rolling out the deployment to live production.

Key Requirements

• Ideally 8 years exp or more in the industry focusing on backend software architecture.
• Experience with PHP v7.x and v8.x (Need at least 8+ years exp)
• Experience with Laravel x6 - x10 (Need at least 5+ years exp)
• event Driven Architecture.
• Google Cloud platform (GCP) - Cloud functions
• Experience with Vue.js OR React is a bonus
• Relevant qualifications in Software Engineering/Development
• Understanding and knowledge of unit tests and functional tests
• Understanding of modern software design practices
• Solid technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
• Experience in writing SQL queries
