Join a pivotal team dedicated to launching the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2026, delivering high-availability AWS services exclusively for EU customers. This is a chance to influence the evolution of AWS services and technology on a global scale.

The Role

• Spearhead the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025.

• Build and lead operations and development teams for high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, Bedrock).

• Collaborate with global AWS teams and technology leaders to enhance daily operations.

• Drive improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.

• Contribute to the collective knowledge of the team regarding the European Sovereign Cloud.

• Participate in occasional on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents.

What You'll Need

• EU Member State nationality and current residency in the EU.

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering (hardware, software, networking, OS).

• Experience scripting processes in Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking, with troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to lead the creation and improvement of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
