🌟🌟🌟 Your Role Will Be

We're looking for a QA Analyst to join our Product & Engineering team. You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the Hivebrite platform through thorough manual testing, clear documentation, and close collaboration with developers and product managers.

This role goes beyond test execution. You'll take ownership of quality within your squad's functional scope, contribute to test planning, drive bug resolution, and actively look for ways to improve how we test — including leveraging AI tools. You'll be a key partner in shipping features that our customers can rely on.

🌟 Your Mission Will Be

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Design and execute detailed manual test cases covering functional, usability, and edge-case scenarios for your squad's features.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality.
  • Contribute to test planning by defining test objectives, scope, and strategy alongside developers and product managers.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover issues that scripted tests might miss.
  • Begin contributing to non-functional testing areas such as performance and accessibility, with guidance from senior team members.

Bug Management & Problem Solving

  • Own the full bug lifecycle within your functional scope — from identification and clear documentation in Jira, through triage, to resolution tracking.
  • Collaborate with developers on root cause analysis and validate fixes thoroughly.
  • Use insights from production bugs to review and strengthen existing test cases, closing coverage gaps.
  • Prioritize testing efforts based on risk, production usage patterns, and feature criticality.
  • Participate in refinements and "3 amigos" sessions during the design phase, bringing a QA perspective to spot risks early.

Delivery & Efficiency

  • Plan and execute QA activities within sprint timelines, ensuring quality without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities during sprints and releases while maintaining test coverage.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve your own efficiency — whether through better tooling, workflow adjustments, or AI-assisted approaches.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to ensure automated tests correctly cover the functional scope under test, and flag areas that need improvement.

Communication & Documentation

  • Maintain clear, well-structured test documentation in Qase — including test plans, cases, and execution reports.
  • Provide concise updates on test progress, risks, and blockers through Slack, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Contribute to team meetings, stand-ups, and QA workshops with actionable insights.
  • Deliver live demos to present test plans, coverage, or key findings to stakeholders.

AI & Continuous Improvement

  • Use AI assistants (Claude, Dust) and Omni to accelerate test documentation, support bug analysis, and explore quality metrics.
  • Experiment with AI-supported test execution tools to reduce manual testing time.
  • Suggest improvements to QA processes, tools, and workflows based on hands-on experience.
  • Begin sharing AI best practices with the team and contribute ideas for new assistants or automation where they bring real value.

🌟 You Might Be a Fit If

Must-Have

  • 3–5 years of experience in a QA Analyst or similar role, ideally in a SaaS or web application environment.
  • Strong experience with manual testing methodologies — functional, regression, exploratory, and edge-case testing.
  • Proficiency with test management tools (Qase or equivalent) and issue-tracking systems (Jira, including JQL and dashboard creation).
  • Solid ability to document bugs clearly with reproduction steps, expected vs. actual behavior, and supporting evidence (logs, screenshots).
  • Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams — comfortable with sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Confluence for test documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you can identify patterns in bugs, spot coverage gaps, and prioritize based on risk.
  • Clear and assertive communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to API testing with tools like Postman.
  • Basic familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright) — you don't need to write automation, but understanding it helps you collaborate with automation engineers.
  • Experience with performance or accessibility testing.
  • Interest in or experience using AI tools to support QA workflows (e.g., AI-assisted test case generation, bug analysis).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how QA gates fit into the delivery process.
  • Experience working on a community platform, marketplace, or multi-tenant SaaS product.

🌟 Recruitment Process

  • A first 45 minutes meeting with Max, our Human Resources Manager for a first video-call to better understand your career plan and answer any of your questions.
  • A 1 hour video-call with Marc, our Lead QA Engineer and your potential future manager, to go deeper on the job description and for you to understand the expectations of the role.
  • A 1 hour business case, to understand how you work and evaluate your technical skills.
  • A last meeting with other members of the Product & Engineering team, to talk about you and Hivebrite.
