About The Role

We are seeking a talented Web Experience Designer who brings a strategic mindset and a director’s eye to the craft of web design. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process for client websites, transforming initial concepts into polished, development-ready designs. Your responsibilities will include participating in discovery sessions to extract brand insights, translating ambiguity into compelling visual narratives, and creating interactive, scroll-worthy experiences that imbue websites with character and soul.

You will define or evolve visual identities across projects, focusing on typography, color schemes, motion design, and layout logic. Additionally, you will create interaction concepts and motion references for Webflow developers, ensuring seamless execution of your designs. Maintaining and evolving component libraries and design systems across multiple projects will be part of your ongoing responsibilities. Presenting your work confidently to clients, incorporating feedback, and iterating swiftly are critical components of this role. Staying current with web design trends and knowing when to adopt or ignore them will help you deliver innovative and timeless solutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have 3–5 years of experience designing websites, with a portfolio that demonstrates your expertise and creativity in crafting engaging web experiences. You must possess expert-level skills in Figma, including component creation, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, and delivering dev-ready handoffs. A keen eye for typography, whitespace, visual hierarchy, and pacing is essential to produce designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

You should think strategically, understanding that every design decision serves a purpose beyond aesthetics. Comfort working across multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines is crucial. Self-direction and strong asynchronous communication habits are expected, as you will work independently and own your projects from start to finish. Confidence in presenting ideas to clients, defending your design choices, and incorporating feedback constructively are vital skills. A curious, experimental mindset and a genuine obsession with web as a creative medium will help you thrive in our environment.

Familiarity with Webflow is required, as understanding how designs translate into functional builds is integral to your workflow. Knowledge of Shopify for e-commerce projects and motion design tools like Lottie or After Effects is a plus. Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Slack, Notion, or ClickUp will facilitate your integration into our remote, async-first work culture.
